Culinarian Press is an international digital food library and evolving culinary reference resource created to inform, inspire, and deepen our understanding of food, drink, and the cultures that shape them.
The name reflects its intent. Culinarian refers to the professional study and practice of cookery - rooted in the Latin culina, meaning kitchen - and extends beyond recipes into gastronomy, culture, craft and place. Press is both a nod to publishing and to the traditional kitchen press found in Irish homes: a cupboard where books, crockery, papers and valued objects are kept close at hand.
Culinarian Press brings these ideas together - a place where knowledge is gathered, stored carefully, and shared with purpose.

Why It Exists
Over the years, Anthony has been asked repeatedly for reading lists, cookery books to start with, places to eat while travelling, voices to follow, and ways into the study of gastronomy and food culture.
Culinarian Press is his response.
It brings together writing, reference and curation from across the culinary world, shared clearly, credited properly, and approached with respect for time, craft and the people behind the work.
